Upbringing

A native son of Bermuda, Curtis Dickinson was raised in an environment that prioritized local connection and mutual support. His childhood was defined by the principles of honesty and diligence, instilling a profound understanding of our collective duty to lift one another up. These early experiences established the foundation for his unwavering devotion to serving our people.

Education

Curtis excelled throughout his scholarly pursuits, obtaining his undergraduate degree from Morehouse College before securing an MBA at Columbia Business School. This academic rigor equipped him with sophisticated insights into global economics and financial systems, which have been vital in navigating the intricate fiscal matters of our island nation.

Banking Career

Prior to his transition into the political sphere, Curtis spent over two decades as a high-level investment banker. During his time in major hubs like New York and London, he spearheaded initiatives for firms such as JP Morgan and Credit Suisse. He eventually brought this elite global perspective home to Bermuda, where he served as a top executive at Butterfield Bank, bolstering our local economy.

Public Service

Curtis launched his legislative career focused on economic equity and prudent governance. While serving as the Minister of Finance, he steered the country through the immense volatility of a global health crisis, protecting the livelihoods of local families and entrepreneurs. His leadership is defined by a rigorous approach to national debt, total transparency, and the pursuit of a viable, prosperous future for all residents.

Community First

Outside of his official capacities, Curtis is a dedicated advocate for local progress. He actively participates in various non-profit boards and foundations, utilizing his strategic skills to improve our social infrastructure. To Curtis, engaging with the community is a vital necessity; it ensures he remains grounded in the daily realities of the citizens while striving for a more equitable and united Bermuda.
